Marjorie Sher is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin, Madison (1990) and subsequently continued her education at Kent College of Law located in Chicago, where she graduated in 1993. Marjorie immediately began to practice law in Lake County, Illinois after graduation and began concentrating primarily in family law during 1996.
Her professional career includes additional legal services including , but not limited to the following: Board Member, Vice President and subsequent President of the Association of Women Attorneys of Lake County; Secretary,
Second Vice-President, First Vice-President and
President-Elect of the Lake County Bar Association; presenter of seminars related to family law to the Family Law Committee, Real Estate Committee and People's Law School; Mock Trial Judge; Teen Court Judge; Co-Chair of the Legal Aid Committee and Co-Chair of the Campaign for Legal Services.
Marjorie has a commitment to family law that is found in very few attorneys. She reads legal journals, attends continuing legal education classes on a regular basis, and volunteers her time and expertise to the community in family law related matters.
